Thank you!

Swayneville State School has been the recipient of businesses - large and small - and community giftings, grants and donations.  There has been a steady stream of generous caring people who have responded to the school's needs.

While it is not possible to list all of the people and companies that has assisted us, we would like to note the following:

  • The Swayneville P&C -- parents, friends and families from above or below the Range who have cleaned, burnt rubbish, used trailers, helped teachers ...

  • The staff in central office who sent a box of 'stuff' for the kids.

  • Officeworks Mackay for various items needed by administration.

  • Vita Group Foundation for the new computers!

  • Centage Learning for the stationary supplies for the kids.

  • Bucasia P&C for the donation of their hard earnt fundraising!  We used it to purchase a new free standing basketball hoop.

  • Mackay Community Foundation for their grant to our Chaplaincy Committee so that the students on the Sarina Range Campus have a much needed Chaplain.

  • Sarina Community Bendigo Bank for the grant that will purchase a 3D printer.

Then there are those that have helped:

  • MSP photography for working around our new challenge.

  • Science Questacon for working around our new challenge.

  • School Performance Tours for working around our new challenge.

  • Delivery companies who went 'around and about' to get the items up there.

  • To the teacher who stepped up to the challenge. She is now Head of Campus.

  • To the other teachers who rallied while we found another full time teacher.

  • To the main campus teachers who shared resources, listening ears, and encouragement.

Most importantly - a very big thankyou to Swayneville's Teacher Aides, who out of dedication to the kids in their care, packed the belongings of those caught above the slide.  It was during the holidays, and everyone just dropped everything to make it work.  (And that includes the Teacher Aide who unpacked everything!)
