Music Grant

Our music program for the upper school has been enhanced with the arrival of twenty-five guitars. We owe a big thank you to the P and C who obtained them through a grant. Thank you Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal for providing the grant and giving our students the opportunity to extend their musical abilities. Thanks also to Mr Barnett, Chappie Di’s husband, who very kindly picked them up from Yamaha Music Shop for us. With the assistance of a number of excited students who willingly unpacked and tuned them, the guitars were ready for use in class last week. During their first lesson the upper school learned to play a song with a recorded backing. They will continue plucking out tunes gradually using more notes and will also develop chord playing skills.​
