Learning to strive for your best .... then being the best that you can be!On Monday 18th March Swayneville students participated in their annual cross country event. This event was aimed at promoting fun and fitness amongst the students, but it also serves as a teaching tool regarding larger life experiences. This tough event is so much more than just an exercise in endurance. It is about believing in yourself, about perseverance, about being a mate…. and the power of the support of family and friends. Seeing students trying their best and displaying such good sportsmanship is a credit to them. The battle between the houses was very close this year with Jackson House edging out Donohue House 277 to 270 points - the closest score we’ve had! This cross country also served as selection trial for the 10 – 13 year olds for the up and coming Sarina District Cross Country Selection Trials on Wednesday 24th April at the Sarina Golf Club.
